The word Torah has a depth of meaning besides law. Basically, without defining the word here, Torah refers to the first five books of the Bible; and, generally, according to Jewish suppositions, the Torah was the written word as well as its oral traditions revealed to Moses on Mount Sinai. The Torah is a thus saith the Lord in the Pentateuch. The Torah seems like the firm foundation of the entire Bible as everything proceeds out it.

Each Book of the Pentateuch has a meaning: Genesis means in the beginning; Exodus means these are the names; Leviticus means He called; Numbers means in the Wilderness; and Deuteronomy means these are the words.

God Is the Healer

God created all who live on earth as material creatures made of some form of flesh. Being flesh, living creatures need to be renewed, or healed, all the time. Cancer cells, for example, appear in people all the time, but God created an immune system to destroy these deadly cells, usually. God is the Healer.

Information Theory and the Word

“Information Source sends message to a transmitter using energy to send its encoded signal through a medium containing sources of noise that is added to the original encoded signal. A receiver receives the message with the embedded noise and decodes the message which is then sent to the destination."

The Biblical Perspective on Embryonic Stem Cell Research

Regardless of where a person stands on the use of stem cell in scientific research, one might want to understand what the Bible says. God gives a person freedom to do right or wrong without neglecting the consequences of the actions of person. Let us see, then, what we can learn from the Word of God.

Discussion of Current Understanding

First, we need a definition of a stem cell: Stem cell n.: an unspecialized [undifferatiate, primative] cell [with the ability both to multiply and to differentiate into specific kinds of cells] that gives rise to specific cells, e.g., hematopoietic stem cells in bone marrow.

God Made the Sabbath for Man

And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all his work which he had done in creation.
GEN 2:2-3

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth..." God created all the matter and energy from nothing. He created the stars in the heavens and our star, the sun. He created the earth and made it capable of supporting all manner of life -the plants, animals, birds, and fishes. And it was all very good. Finally, when the earth was fit for human habitation, He formed Adam from the dust of the earth and breathed into him the breath of life - a touch of the divine. He made man in His image, in the image of God He made him.

All Things Are Possible with God

During times of economic down turns, people may begin to consider what it is like to have money problems, or even to be poor, or not.Poverty is a complicated subject. What is poverty in one nation is plenty in another. To further complicate the subject, the causes of poverty are many and diverse. Just because a person may be considered poor does not mean they are needy.

God Is One

Through out the ages, the only people that believed that God is One Person were the Jews and later the Christians. Every other religion was polytheistic that believed demons were gods, various things like the sun or ge (the earth) were gods and their kings were demigods who would become part of the pantheon of gods in the heavens. Such prominent rulers included Pharaoh, Nebuchednezer, and Constantine with whom we must pick up the history. At the council of Nicenae, three groups vied for their doctrine concerning the person or persons of God.

A Statement of Faith

As many might say, their beliefs are in the Bible. However, if I had to give a partial answer about our faith:

1. God is one person, individual, Being, the Creator, not two in one or three in one (Trinity).

What Is in a Name?

A rose by another name may smell like a rose, but what you call something is as important as what the object is. What you name someone is as important as who the person is. Do you not agree? If your name is Oscar and someone calls you Felix, you will not turn around although the caller is talking to you, sees you, and may even know something about you. You may even be insulted. Oscar would have been! Your name is important to you.

If a person calls me Gil, he is talking to me. If a person transliterates my name and calls me Hil, I will not respond. To me a hill is a rise in the earth, not a name. Also, each name has a meaning. Gloria means glory. Angela means angel. Those are the easy ones.

The First Fruits

James 1:18 In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.

How did God bring us forth to be the first fruits?

God said: light, expanse, waters gathered, sprout vegetation, lights in the expanse, fish and fowl, animals, make man in His Image…

Introduction to the Sabbath

The setting sun on a Friday evening heralds the coming Sabbath for all to see and believe that God is the Creator. The setting sun on a Friday evening confirms intent of the Creator to give us a sign in the heavens to declare His Holy Day of rest.

And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons [Hebrew: festivals and holy assemblies] and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. Genesis 1:14-15

Besides the sunset auguring the Sabbath, the Creator gives us new moons and full moons to announce the beginnings of His seven Festivals or Feast Days each year.

The Bible, i.e., the Word of God, provides that means to learn of Him and His Holy Ways.

In the Image of God brings to you an unbiased twenty-first century view of the Word of God. When you read the Bible and try to relate what it says to the practices of most churches, you must wonder what is true, the Bible or the churches. Where did these rites and doctrines come from? You need to know the Biblical Truths because, unfortunately, most Christian religions of today base their fundamental doctrines not on the Bible and Christ, but on the efforts of an essentially pagan Roman Emperor.

The man, who presided over the establishment of such beliefs as trinity, Christmas, Easter, Sunday services and going to heaven, is the "pagan" Roman Emperor, Constantine. (Click on his name to learn the history.)

You ought to know what the Truth, as found in the Bible, really is because the Truth can set you free!

Let In Image of God inspire and acquaint you with the Word of God, pure and simple.

Jesus, the Son of Man

Jesus Was Born under the Law

Jesus was born under the law. Which law? Being born under the law means that he was born to married parents because the law says, “You shall not commit adultery,” which includes any sexual act outside of marriage including fornication, incest, homosexuality and bestiality. The verse insists that Jesus be a man born of a husband and wife, not impregnated by a “holy spirit” outside of the marriage ordinance.

Gal. 4:4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

We know God is righteous; it would be impossible for Him, therefore, to do anything contrary to His Law.

1John 3:7 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous;

How does a righteous God allow a “holy spirit” to impregnate Mary out of wedlock? “You shall not commit adultery” or commit fornication.

Heb. 13:4 Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

Gen. 2:24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

“Gal. 5:19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality [porneia, that is, fornication], impurity, sensuality.
